Story: Meeting a co-worker at GenCon
I had been attending GenCon for a few years now (most of them in Indy). Last year, my husband and I were browsing the exhibit hall. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed someone intensely staring at me. It took a moment to register...it was a co-worker of mine. He works a few cubicles away from me. We had never known that we shared a mutual interest in gaming. "I'm spending my vacation days at a gaming convention" isn't exactly something that is normally discussed amongst co-workers. We both had a good laugh about it. Being short on gamers in our area, we invited him to join our gaming group. We worked 15 feet from one another, but it took GenCon to introduce us. The person in the cubicle next to you could be a geek in a corporate disguise.
