Gen-Con Milwaukee 2000
I went to my first Gen-Con with my brother. He said the costume show is not to be missed. We headed over to the hotel and got in the front of the gathering line. I have a bit of claustrophobia. I was fine until I looked around and saw all of the people. That is when I started to freak out. I told my brother I was going to the ladies room, not to leave without me. I left to calm down. He stayed and waited. They opened the doors and started to let people in. The lady at the door asked why my brother was waiting and not going in. She set aside two seats for us. I got back literally 10 seconds before the doors closed. She let us in. The next people in line were pissed, they waited and I just walked in. The show was great. Funny, creative. Luke Ski is a riot. The passion involved in making the costumes and creating the skits and practicing is very evident. My brother was right, the costume show is not to be missed. I went to two in Milwaukee and one in Anaheim. I thank the nice people who put on such fabulous shows and allow freaked out chicks like me the opportunity to see the shows even though other people get ticked off.
