I've attended several awards ceremony, and they're always exciting...but one year sticks out in my memory - it was an RPGA awards ceremony in 2000. We had played in RPGA club team tournament last year. After much anticipation, it was announced that we had won 1st place again. Our win couldn't have come at a more opportune time - 3E had just been released. Prior to the tournament, we had shared a copy of the PHB and DMG to read up on the new rules. As the prize that year, each team member was to receive a 3E Players Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide, and Monster Manual.
